idgi?
if mexico felt threatened, itd be good for the USSR to offer to join the pact
It would not be good for nobody for a country in a territorial dispute with a nuclear power to join a nuclear military alliance.
okay it's hypocritical, so what? it doesnt mean that it's bad.
ok so russians feel less secure with nato on their border? ok so do the eastern european nations without nato, what about them? why does russian security matter more than theirs?
Russia wasn’t really doing anything to them until a Western backed coup removed the Ukrainian president who directly disrespected previous legislation that gave the Russian minorities in the country autonomy
Many of the people who are opposing Russia in this case are ethnonationalista who don’t like that Russians live in their country’s
The point was that buffer states would exist that would allow for Russia to safely exercise its own power in its own sphere the same way the US and UK do in NATO.
Removing this buffer creates issues that lead to violence that threaten security like what you’re talking about
There’s no good side in this, it just is how it is
The USA having its troops 6000 km across an ocean is normal but God forbid Russia wants cordial neighbors
lmao get a clue my guy, russia does not want "cordial" neighbors. that's never been how they operate.
The USA having its troop that far from the mainland may not be normal but why is it bad?

ok so basically what you are saying is that the strong can dictate s*** differently from the weak right? since the US is strong and has nuclear weapons, its security concerns should be treated differently from the rest?
Idk how you can pull out of something you're not in
Yall living in an alternate reality it's hilarious to read lol
Violence being inherently immoral is a schoolyard take bro. Economic violence occurs every day around us, yet you seem keen on defending those systems
ur right good thing i didnt say that tho
im saying violence justified by self determination is immoral
yes im saying the american revolution was immoral
i bite the bullets i shoot

When those security concerns would lead to a direct war between nuclear powers, yes absolutely lol. Only a lunatic would answer no to that question

You support the expansion of NATO?

The US doesn’t want cordial neighbors either my guy
@Scratchin_Bandit
Yeah you're only making your argument sound worse tbh lol
Yeah you're only making your argument sound worse tbh lol
This is exactly why Marx argued against socialism a morality right ?
makes a lot of sense
"No violence isn't just inherently bad, it's uniquely bad when it's motivated out of self-determination"
but like why is nato expanding east bad? lol
just because it makes russians feel less secure? so what?
its bad for russia because its american influences creeping at their doorstep
in the long term (as russians might see it) it could mean the US implementation of military bases in ukraine to threaten russia and eventually crush them into another american puppet state if a war starts
