It’s a bit jarring seeing open “liberal” nations like my country Canada sending weapons to a country with a literal state recognized Nazi contingent

They can definitely add a clause to any resources they send that the azov battalion should be condemmed at the very least

I'm going to disagree with you in regards that this neo-nazi can gain any movement, zelenskyy was elected with 70% of the vote, that's crazy, nazi's were a political movement already before hitler joined, with many people unhappy in regards to ww1, depression, inflation etc. and only extremely right wing or left wing parties had any answers, they were a product of their time, what's happening in ukraine is very different, people are rallying around the current democratic government

If you were in Ukraine it wouldn’t be marginal after 8 years of conflict

Especially once you get into the potential narratives that the Azov will get about “reclaiming” crimea and Donbass

Sanctions that impact the poor never work and only make targeted country more authoritarian. The only sanctions that could work and are justifiable are those against Russian elites, they actually have influence.

I'm only hearing a lot about the Azov battalion and the supposed ones in Parliament so I don't know the true scale of that ideological penetration but operating on the belief that its still an extreme minority it seems those things could have been usef to sway the public already but haven't gained much traction.

ok well you said to me before that you don't want your tax money be sent to aid Ukraine and now you are saying that you donated your entire check to Ukraine, well good for u and the people of Ukraine I'm sure they will appreciate it

also you keep saying this without any proof, again this is simple logic, the Azov battalion is the only Nazi battalion in Ukraine and out of the whole army of 361K they represent 1K which is rounded up to 0.3%, now unfortunately they are an equal part of the Army and if you arm the whole army some of it will eventually and indirectly come to them

again you are saying US meanwhile all of NATO is sending them help not only US

so what is your alternative? If we don't send them anything they will get run over by Russia, they will get demilitarized and become a helpless puppet like Belarus which can also lead to civilian casualties because as see Putin doesn't care about his people and he cares about the Ukrainian ones even less or we do arm them and they are actually repelling the Russian army as seen these last 4 days because those people would rather die than be under Russia

now the best solution would be to disband the Azov battalion but it's kinda hard to do that when Russia is invading you and they are at the front lines

again may I remind you, yesterday you said 2 false statements regarding the Ukrainian Parliament and their constitution which I have showed to you are false

what you are doing now is pure speculation

So is it that the Ukrainians are doing a great job and the Russians are failing or that they are desperate and need weapons or they’ll lose?

I want two things from this. I don’t care how such a solution is reached

1. I don’t want weapons to touch the hands of Nazis
2. I don’t want war that leads to innocent people dying

You are unequivocally attempting to justify an opposition to these two points. Why?
