I oppose both Russia and Ukraine on the basis of being capitalist states. My sympathy is with the people of this country. But arming Nazis, which the West is doing as we speak, will produce a blowback similar to arming the Mujahadeen, which laid the groundwork for Al Qaida and ISIS later on.

Germany just said they will spent 100 billion euros on weapons. All money that will miss for schools hospitals roads infrastructure. All money that will go to US arms companies.

i'd argue theres less risk than that situation though due ot ukraines greater integration with western culture as a whole

and just allowing russia to take land sets an incorrect precedent overall for other at risk states and global stability

that being said, I haven't seen a single person advocating for nuclear s*** to be set up in Ukraine. NATO is primarily defensive. If Ukraine believes they would feel safer with nukes in the area and they were able to show that placing nukes in the area wouldn't be a terrible idea that maybe, just maybe that would happen. But it wouldn't be because this nebulous "west" is working together to invade Russia and threaten its sovereignty
