Worsening economic conditions in Europe + propping up an internationally oriented Nazi militia when fascism is already on the rise in Europe

Yeah I don't see any way that this could possibly go wrong

Russia is probably a more fascist country than Ukraine overall

The azov battalion are real and evil, but it's russia who spread a lie that zelensky can't govern cause he's Jewish, and has actual representation of antisemites and revanchists in its parliament. Ukraine has no neo nazis in elected office at all

after world war 2 the world retooled its entire global infrastructure and became globalized, and as opposed to being empire-based it became a rules-based global order system. In 1944 Bretton Woods happens. 1946 was the United Nations. 1947 was the general agreement on tariffs and trades. 1949 was NATO. 1950 was the European Union. These are the superinfrastructure of the world that we’ve all grown up in. This is the centralized power of globalization. And that was all put in place to avoid what had happened in the past (ww1&ww2)

the conclusion of the war brings euphoria and 78 million americans are born in the span of 20 years, a 40% population increase - creating the largest demand shock the world has ever seen. the scene after World War 2 as such, is a massive demographic, technological, manufacturing, economic growth boom with huge fiscal stimulus included. America was the epicenter of that golden age and all of this rules-based global order architecture was built around America and its globalized ambitions. America had the military might and exercised it in suez, korea, vietnam, ongoing etc. this is the benefit of being number 1, you get to play outside the rules and no one else does.

meanwhile putin has stopped playing along with endless talk and diplomatic negotiations - discussions all taking place in the arena of an american dominated rules-based system - and instead acted on the Kosovo precedent set by the US itself, and drawn a line in the sand. will America cross it? China, India and Brazil have not condemned Russia's actions. the EU market zone is busy dismantling their 5G network, energy infrastructure, and even nominal state autonomy while the US is increasing efforts to maintain power and influence.

the anglos have overplayed and edged russia along the way of orthodoxy, autocracy, autarky, western hostility and nationality. the international regime is changing and the stage is set for a tellurocratic union between russia and china, bringing american hegemony closer to its end as we continue towards an eventual showdown between the West and Eurasia

    interesting times

Yeah the country that made it illegal to not celebrate the literal Nazi collaborator Bandera and has a literal Nazi militia in their army is "less fascist" lol

The fascism in Ukraine is out in the open and blatant, like they proudly wear Nazi symbolism

And when did Russia say that?

Across social media, Ukrainian police and law enforcement officials are apologizing for one officer's slur aimed at far-right ultranationalists and making it known: They, too, are "#Banderites." Or, to be clear, supporters of militant Ukrainian nationalists who collaborated with the Nazis during World War II.

National Police chief Serhiy Knyazev says he is one. So does Interior Ministry and National Police spokesman Artem Shevchenko. Interior Ministry adviser Zoryan Shkyryak is, too.

From the top on down, cops and their bosses are lining up to air their admiration for Stepan Bandera, a hero to many Ukrainians whose Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and its military arm, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), fought both Soviet and Nazi forces during World War II but is also accused of carrying out murderous campaigns against Poles and Jews

This post is unrelated to the thread topic, sorry, but @emu wanna be on bullshit (inb4 didnt read):

First of all its not just that someones a marxist on here, theres mostly ML (which i'd consider myself on a basic level), and then I think some MLM - maoist, and then there's socialists who don't like to focus their socialism on just white dudes like marx engels and lenin and take from other leaders and writers from around the world

I will say there is a bit of an intentional circle-jerk about communism on here, just to have a sense of humor because if one took the discourse too seriously they would be stressed tf out, the capitalists/imperialists got a lot of the leverage right now.

And with that I say that if one is a true socialist then it's impossible for them to NOT have a moral compass because it's about restoring the regular persons ability to get proper compensation for the hard work they put in and about putting an end to the exploitation of work, everywhere, to address one aspect. Yes there is plenty of "Fuck the US" for being imperialist and sloppy f***ed up foreign policy that's plagued the planet since WW2 but why shouldn't we call that bullshit out at every turn? I don't think any of us would think Putin is doing that great of a job with Russia and plus he's not a socialist so... it's just that in this instance the US reasoning is a LOT more flimsy than the US narrative right now

I don't want any regular person in Ukraine or Russia or surrounding areas to be f***ed over because of military bullshit but can you not tell that the entire US media apparatus is pushing this one narrative that Russia is the evil aggressor we must get ready for war with and they're invading invading and our president can't even hold a coherent statement about what military conflict he's talking about... We shouldn't be falling for the same old s***, plus, Ukraine shouldn't be in NATO lol f*** NATO outdated ass s***
