understand dugin, understand putin
putin's actions rn are just following guidelines laid out by aleksandr dugin in his book, foundations of geopolitics. it's basically a step by step guide to returning russia to its major world power status. It's been the s*** in Russia since it came out, and has even (allegedly) been taught as part of training for govt officials.
Two of the first European steps are to invade Ukraine and Finland whenever a good opportunity arises
A few other tactics u might have already seen being put in practice are the promotion of internal divisions in America and the isolation of the UK from Europe. Nobody in the know was surprised by russian bots polarizing the US and pushing for brexit.
Point is, this has been Russia's gameplan for last few decades. Invasion of Ukraine is just one of many steps to becoming a great power again.
Hopefully this helps you understand why Putin is invading Ukraine.
As for why russia cares so much about NATO (allegedly), it's mostly to provide some sort of justification to onlookers. No, NATO was never a serious threat to Russian sovereignty, and Ukraine joining NATO does not significantly change this (despite what Putin and a few ppl in this thread will tell you). Oh and Putin knows this, btw. But "i want more power" is a terrible justification for an invasion, so for now Putin is running with the whole NATO thing.
Have you read the book? If so is the plan feasible iyo?
And does the US take the books plan seriously?
Putin made Germany invest in military again after 80 years of pacifism. We all know German engineers are lit as f***.
Germany could have a insane military if they really want to
We have a rlly poor understanding of how this war is going rn because the "official" reports are coming from Ukraine's propaganda arm, and Russian media us equally untrustworthy.
BUT from what we do know, it seems like Russia has already surrounded most major cities, and the Ukrainian govt is starting to look rlly rlly desperate. bro they took prisoners out of jail to fight on their front lines. U don't even need a visa to fight in their foreign legion anymore they'll take fkn anybody
It's highly likely that Russia is doing just fine in Ukraine and will settle for basically a puppet government that can later "choose" to join the russian federation.
I meant “point of no return” on a global scale. He may win in Ukraine but won’t be able to do so without significant war crimes. But then what? If he continues on to the next country, it’s WW3 anyway. If he doesn’t, Russia has Ukraine but remains isolated anyway. And those previously fence-sitting countries are accelerating NATO talks. What’s the end game here?

u and i cant read the book rn bc no english translation exists lol. But I've watched a***ysis videos of it and, no quite frankly it's a really big reach and Russia fully succeeding w it is pretty unlikely.
I mean it's not just Eastern Europe, it calls for the invasion of most of China, most of Europe all the way into Germany, the forging of alliances w Germany, France, and Japan (all extremely unlikely to happen). Not to mention that the Russian population has been steadily declining. With each year that passes since the book was written, military manpower has gone down.
The scary thing though is that they've actually already achieved a LOT of short term goals (US political instability, Brexit) and if they eventually annex ukraine that's just one more goal accomplished. Trump was obviously not pro-Russian like a lot of leftist media claimed, but he was almost exactly what Dugin wants.
This thread is war tbh so
Today is my birthday I'm 23 now, thanks guy peace is good

Glad I'm not living in a major big
City
I think I'll be fine in ww3
Go look up what happens when a thousand nukes are launched simultaneously.
Solution:
Bar Russia from everything
Join Ukraine to EU
Western countries leave EU
Crisis solved
I was gonna say the same thing about Putin
Glad I'm not living in a major big
City
I think I'll be fine in ww3
doesn’t take too many nukes to send enough debris into the air that it would create a global nuclear winter. nobody would be safe
not to mention all the energy and economic troubles that come with entire cities being demolished
FB is down. Any connection to Russia?
Zuck doesn’t stop taking L’s lmao

again, understand dugin, understand putin
and like I said, Russia basically has almost already won and they've done so without committing crazy war crimes.
Annexing Ukraine is it for now. The next step is to work on diplomatic ties with germany, france, china, and Japan, and annex finland when the opportunity presents itself
