You’re coming with so much hate I feel genuinely sorry bro. I’ve been liberal all my life and come from a conservative area. I’m college educated and work in higher education. I’ve actually voted and have been for years. I’m politically informed and get news from multiple sources and have a fairly expansive knowledge of history ranging from Greek/Roman aka the Classics, existential Philosophy, and modern American history. I also am familiar with the power structure of a capitalist society and the intersectionality of socioeconomic politics as it pertains to gender and race in America.

My response was to a very generalist, misinformed rehash of things containing false understandings of what he said today.

Don’t talk out the side of your neck like you know me or anyone else on here.

Edit: and if you did know me, you’d know I want to see Ye debate with trump and Biden and let the people vote. I hate the two party system and support the alternative vote aka ranked voting. It has minor flaws but allows for more parties.

Great to hear! I’m genuinely glad to hear you share my same views on the two party system, late stage capitalism, corruption in politics, etc, but knowing that I can’t understand how you would also be okay with what’s going on with Kanye right now. Sometimes his inability to get his points across in a coherent way leads to him having his points misconstrued but that’s not the case here. He clearly has very dangerous beliefs largely informed by his own religion and he seems to think it’s the solution to this country’s issues. And once you add in the fact that he’s very clearly at the height of a manic episode, running for any political position is the absolute last thing he should be doing right now. And all the backlash is going to do is force him even deeper into the state, double down on his ideas, and drive himself into a really bad place. As a long time Kanye fan I absolutely hate to see it and I want him to get the help he needs.

A lot of you guys are too complacent and you’re okay with Kanye driving himself deeper into a bad place during the height of a manic episode while also promoting dangerous beliefs on the brink of the most important election in recent history. I love Kanye. I want to see Kanye happy and I want to see him get help for his condition. Too many people are yes men enabling him when that’s not what he needs right now.

Look bro I get it. 2020 is something altogether entirely. I am not religious and I see the irony of someone pointing out how we are still slaves while being a slave to religion themselves. But he’s a new Christian, maybe he’s learning... idk.

I love the authenticity he has I think if we had a younger Bernie or Yang who had Kanye’s energy and methodology then maybe dems wouldn’t keep losing.

I agree with your last point. I love Bernie to death but he unfortunately for him he was too nice. He had all the right policy positions and he had the genuine heart you would want in a leader but he needed to attack Biden and call out corruption in the DNC itself when it was necessary. Trump and big corporations are the only things he called out as much as he needed to.

His tendencies are way too familiar and we know Kanye’s been formally diagnosed, we know he refuses to take his meds, and we know rather than getting real help he’s letting his religion be the source of that. I’m telling you guys, this is going to end really really badly unless people step in and help Kanye help himself. The backlash he gets during this run is only going to make him feel and react even worse.

Can you imagine Bernie with all these flipped dem seats coming in... we will only have this window for a few years before the pendulum swings back to the right... I get the frustration about ye jeopardizing that but man things have just been crazy and it’s hard to not be attracted to someone I respect wanting to change things and shake up the system. I just hate Biden and his “you ain’t black” comment with CtG made me lose all respect for his old ass

I absolutely hate Biden too but the thing that at least gives me a little hope is the fact that I think progressives are really forcing him to adopt more left leaning policies than he would’ve otherwise. Definitely not enough - like M4A - but for someone with his resume it’s better than I expected. Also if Trump wins the Supreme Court is going to be filled with conservative f***s for the next couple decades which is scary to think about.

Not sure if y'all noticed, but people are actually giving Ye the benefit of the doubt because of mental health. More people are saying ”im praying Ye gets help” than they are mad about his comments.
