No she's not she spent 2 weeks discussing the sales and streams of an album by an artist she doesn't like because he had a tiff like 7 years ago with the artist she stans

    It’s def personal for her.

Drake stans using some step noises being taken off a song to fuel their hate

They will reach for ANYTHING to hate it’s crazy

Hey man can we not turn this into a stan war?

This is a mature and respectful discussion about artists bending the knees and folding to criticism

By that standard, Drake and Kanye failed with their last albums because they did the same s***.

Lmao how you picked the most run of the mill ones anyone who ever called CLB “more of the same drake/run of the mill” had their mind made up before listening. It’s the most effort he’s put into a project since NWTS

I mean he doesnt really deviate from his usual formula. It is more of the same from him. The difference is that the highs just happened to be better than his last few joints

And yet it wasn’t even more original then Views.

I went into that album hoping all the extra time and anticipation he had stirred up would amount to him returning to making “centre of gravity” music in the hip hop genre. And yet it ended up being another “victory lap” album from him.

I’m sorry our tastes don’t align but it ain’t blind hate and most people who aren’t blind stans seems to agree.

The fact you enjoyed the 2 most generic joints on there but hold this opinion is kind of impressive lol like that’s kind of dope to have an ear that bad tbh. There might be a way to make money off that

  • Wow after this one kendrick is no longer top 10

Why are we comparing the greatest rapper of all time, Kendrick Lamar, to a Canadian with ghostwriters and a 45 year old man going through a mid life crisis 🤨

Remember when damn was changed too i low key hate the streaming version of that album

The production value and attention to detail is the difference. No he doesn’t completely reinvent the wheel but it’s a distinct change from the last few albums which could be described as autopilot to an extent. The guitars sprinkled throughout and extended outros and just overall great production that returns to the Take Care/NWTS vibe. It’s still too long but if it was around 15 tracks it would be a masterpiece

Am I gonna discount that because they decided to play around with certain music choices in order to make the bars clearer?

Because that’s what he did on both Savior and Auntie Diaries.

And most Drake albums been over 15 tracks every time so it doesn’t make any sense.

    I can respect that.

It’s like finding out Lance Armstrong took steroids. Sure he’s still the greatest of all time, just with an asterisk next to his legacy

They’re just better songs then the rest of them.

Fountains def got the Tems stimulus tho so really she should be credited for that.

It’s pretty much true lol but especially for CLB. Views and Scorpion would be on par with thriller if trimmed to 9 tracks each but CLB has like 17 I’d keep and still be a classic

It’s true tho. I know Scorpion is way too long but y’all over hate bloated albums sometimes to where you convince yourself there’s not great stuff on there. The singles on Scorpion is the best singles run of the last decade

Obviously not thriller level but NWTS is the greatest rap album of all time

Why is it outlandish to assume that with a little pruning, CLB and scorpion could be right there
