1=infinite >(very slightly) 2
and people rly itt talking about skipping Infinite
The story is god tier but it’s more of a high philosophy/ metaphysics think piece than a horror game
tbh the reveal at the end of Infinite hit me in the feels + blew my mind and i’d much rather have that than a game try to scare me

Baby’s first plot twist
Baby’s first plot twist
oh so you spoiled the game for yourself already, no wonder you’re skipping it you f***ing dumbass next time just say that
Infinite’s ending is the only substantial thing tying all 3 games together, with even the first two having barely anything to do with each other narrative-wise without Infinite. idk how you can call an ending that accomplishes such a thing retroactively “baby’s first plot twist” unless you’re dense or trying to be a prick

“Tying” them together lol ass pulling a whole alternate dimension/universe technology out of their ass that had nothing to do with 1&2
It’s not even a trilogy they’re separate games and 1 is the strongest. System shock 1&2 still goat

is it really though lol, doesn't the ending kind of fall apart when you take a closer look at it

LMFAO “had nothing to do with 1 and 2”??? now you’re making it wayyyy too obvious you didn’t even actually read the plot, you must’ve literally only looked up what happens in the end cutscene

“look the guy you’re playing as was actually this other guy from bioshock 1 just from a different dimension and the bioshock 1 guy is his son isn’t that so cool how they tied it together!!”
Retroactively changing s*** has me sleep. They didn’t have any of that planned, or written, or alluded to in 1 they just made s*** up in infinite with the convenience of alternate dimension bullshit which is why idfw it, it’s lazy.
might actually play Prey since it’s on Gamepass now still know it won’t be s*** compared to any of the Bioshock games

Trying to be a prick? Like you arrogantly everywhere

are YOU trying to be a prick? i honestly can’t tell! wtf does “like you arrogantly everywhere” mean?? learn how to write then you can call someone else names
We talking about the one from the other year? I didn't know it was so highly rated. I have it but never played.

yeah 2017 or 2018. I slept on it for years but it’s a really well done game. the level design and enemies are creative and it’s got a big open world without all the filler side quests, most of the side quests are compelling and actually impact the game and it’s endings (of which there are several)

Does it have interesting writing?

I think so, it’s a bit of a mindfuck
the concept of TALOS (the space station) is very similar to Rapture from bioshock. A micro-society composed only of the brightest minds results in all this crazy advanced tech and self-modification but ultimately s*** goes horribly wrong and the scientists and engineers go too far. You make moral decisions similar to whether you save or kill the little sisters in bioshock and that influences the story
I don’t wanna spoil anything specific but it’s a wild ride

it's better than bioshock
