It does seem to be going with a Nightcrawler approach lol obviously exposing and catching creeps isn't a bad thing but apparently some of the decoys they used were put in pretty risky situations at times and experienced their own trauma as a result so yeah it'll be interesting

I mean the whole 'predator catching' genre is pretty obviously exploitative and sensationalist beyond that, for financial reasons beyond that. it's impossible to unpack that online tho cos you just get people being like 'oh so you support predators 😡'. Will happen with this movie 100%.

Beyond sensationalist stuff, these predators in many cases weren't actually charged because of the many constitutional violations and entrapments. People arguing for Hansen's actions know (or will see) it wasn't that effective and those against it are arguing on the basis that evidence shows it was not super effective. Both sides don't want the same guys let free to continue their behavior.

Hansen is widely known as a morally questionable person already. And that's putting it nicely
