No one escapes the heavy-handedness of Primetime, which damns Hansen and company for predatory behavior and To Catch a Predator for sliminess, even as it indulges in like-minded squalidness. Devoid of nuance, it reimagines the Dateline NBC breakout as a more scandalous affair—and its host as a much bigger lunatic—than was true.
In doing so, it becomes the very sort of cruel, vulgar exploitation it ostensibly dislikes—a bit of irony it ultimately fails to recognize, too busy as it is alternating between mocking the topics it purports to investigate, distorting reality to serve its one-note argument, and patting itself on the back for its denunciation.

yeah I read this one the movie definitely paints Hansen as an predator to some degree to get ratings which I am mixed on but I am seeing the movie. Not to agree with what its presenting but for the acting and vidsiuals

I still think he was f***ed up for some of the ways he did things. The decoys were put in weird spots sometimes without any rehearsal or anything like that lol. He’s def in the wrong for some of the things he did.

I saw the show and have followed it. This speciific movie is based on a hit piece by the esquire. There are CONFIRMED fabricated details to make chris hansen look worse, predatory and at timecs creepoier ihimself
its a sensationalizing to make money. This movie will make more money in a weekend than his show ever did. This show will make more off merch of a primetime tie than Chris Hansen show ever did.
Parts of this movie play like a comedy . Its hypocritical to say "chris hansen did this for ratings and at times didnt take it seroiusly" then do that exact same thing
