Shock always had the goat prince flips, this one with pac where he samples the drums from Dorothy & this vocal harmony arrangement he added to it

I don’t have a favorite, he’s one of the rare artists like Stevie or Jimi who transcended their sounds. It’s tough to single out a Midas figure like that. 😎

My least favorite Song is jughead, I skip that. I run to the skip button when that is on. Something about that chorus, I can’t take it. 😒

My least favorite protege lp’s are mayte & Carmen. This man actually did a version of brick house with mayte & he did a pre p diddy loop sample Blasphemy rap version of adore with carmen. He vultured his own song to a proto Iggy azalea. 🤢

Plus he gave mayte that great ballad if eye love u 2nite. Wtf, no engineer stood up & said “ you can’t do this, you are trying to turn dancers into singers again with nice material” Vanity and Apollonia worked because they had a lead vocalist who could sing. But he was giving these non singer’s fan favorites. She was the original j lo. He made the npg come in the room with these two clout chasers. 😒😒😒Pre auto tune..... if eyyyyeeeeee loooooooveeeeee uuuuuuuuuu

I ADORE that Mayte’s project. Moreover, from my point of view, her vox were somehow endurable on “Baby Don’t Care.”
Carmen’s, on the other hand... yeah, Carmen is... um, an appalling “performer,” I must admit.

One lp I will never listen to again is Purple Rain. But it has nothing to do with the quality.

I’ve heard purple rain soundtrack unconsciously through every single environment.

Whether it was in the background of a sports game or whether it was in a restaurant, radio mix show.

I just can’t find a reason to listen to it. It’s in the dna of America,😳 There are very few records you can say that about...... every song is played somewhere.

Now I’m listening to around the world in a day while I wait for the sott reissue to be released. All this week I’ve been listening to the work off and on of the solo & protege work. Next up I listen to Sheila e, parade, the family. 😎
