I feel like Tony is jumping back and forth with either Hangman retaining clean or Punk beating Hangman underhandedly,which sets off the beginning of Punks heel turn and creates a real feud between Hangman/Punk. So many ways you can take this match.

I can see it,I’m just saying a dirty win cause everyone wants to know what Hangman meant in his promo in Dynamite and it’s obvious he’s planting seeds for a Punk heel turn. Regardless of the outcome,I’m expecting a great match from those two.

Hangman retaining would definitely help define his title reign. Punk winning would be nice too but everyone who didn’t like Hangman in the first place and didn’t feel his star was big enough would feel justified. Hangman beating Punk would finally create the first AEW legend imo.

Tony Khan apparently isn't going to start Page vs Punk until after Game 7 is over. I don't get the logic here, if people already paid for the PPV they're not gonna skip out on the main event to watch Jimmy Butler and Jayson Tatum

as someone who doesn't give a single f*** about Game 7 I agree but look at how the playoffs have impacted the tv ratings...fact is there's some people who are probably gonna try to flip back and forth between both shows so he's just trying to ensure they don't have to do that during the main event at least and that it has their complete attention...interested in what the "contingency plan" is for if Game Seven does go long and they need to drag it out...could be just making one or two of the matches go longer than initially planned or possibly an angle between matches (new signing or new announcement in general)

yeah if Hangman does beat him clean I feel like it's still gonna set off a mean streak with Punk since he's so adamant about making Hangman shake his hand after he bats him and would then become much more than "just business" to him...if Punk cheats to win I have a feeling we're gonna see Hangman bloodied and unconscious while Punk makes him shake his hand to thunderous boos...maybe someone from NJPW comes out after to challenge whoever wins too or they might save that for the following Dynamite...I'm with you though unless someone is watching the PPV by illegal means idk who would shell out 50 bucks to watch only to flip between channels the whole time (or not just watch one or the other on their phone and the other on tv lol)
