these AEW ppv weekends seem so fun...still kicking myself for missing Full Gear when they were in MN which is fairly close to where I live...one day I'ma make it happen though

yeah if Hangman does beat him clean I feel like it's still gonna set off a mean streak with Punk since he's so adamant about making Hangman shake his hand after he bats him and would then become much more than "just business" to him...if Punk cheats to win I have a feeling we're gonna see Hangman bloodied and unconscious while Punk makes him shake his hand to thunderous boos...maybe someone from NJPW comes out after to challenge whoever wins too or they might save that for the following Dynamite...I'm with you though unless someone is watching the PPV by illegal means idk who would shell out 50 bucks to watch only to flip between channels the whole time (or not just watch one or the other on their phone and the other on tv lol)

Yea,Punk is being arrogant af coming into this match, but he feels like his arrogance is earned. If Hangman beats Punk and doesn’t shake his hand,he could definitely attack Hangman, leave him bloodied and the show goes off the air with a damn near lifeless Hangman being made to shake Punks hand.

If Punk wins tho,Tony could have Punk put his hand out there and Hangman gets ready to shake his hand outta respect and Punk fakes him out and throws up a middle finger in Hangman’s face and walks off. So simple but I know that’d get major heat and continue the feud and Punks heel turn. There’s literally no boring paths to take here.

Tony Khan apparently isn't going to start Page vs Punk until after Game 7 is over. I don't get the logic here, if people already paid for the PPV they're not gonna skip out on the main event to watch Jimmy Butler and Jayson Tatum

I can see how people would be annoyed by this but at the same time, him not wanting Punk/Hangman clash with Game 7 and Tony putting that match in the same breadth as the ECF,makes the World Title seem that much more important. I do feel this is AEW’s biggest match yet and TK is treating it as such.

Hangman should go over and offer to shake Punks hand after beating his ass, then proceeds to try to do so, only for Punk to turn his back and walk away being a sore loser begin his slow turn. Almost like the Kingston/Jericho match.

So to someones point where he was arrogantly thinking that he'd win, only for him to lose and become obsessed with winning the championship and he would take Hangman seriously. Leading to Hangman/Punk II at All Out in Chicago. But I really think that Hangman should retain.

next day is Memorial Day and I have the day off so f*** it...show can go til midnight for all I care I'll just make some coffee y'all gonna be thankful that we have some just "alright" matches sprinkled on the card rather than banger after banger to where you're drained by the time the main event starts

Hangman retaining equals slow build but satisfying conclusion vs Punk winning, being proven right and just not giving a f*** about being the good guy anymore equals fast pace feud that most likely finds a stumbling block but has its moments.

I think Hangman is the right choice to win, have him offer to shake Punks hand,Punk denies him and becomes a sore loser and we get a lengthy Hangman celebration to end the show

considering the articles and other stuff lately about Punk being such a big mentor and helping out so much backstage (and AEW talent refuting that lol) I feel like it'd make sense to turn him at the PPV...whether he wins or not is another question but that turn gotta come soon

It’s like,I really like the idea of Hangman solidifying his title reign tomorrow but I also like the idea of Punk proving that he is better and becomes a total piece of s*** because of it. I would like the manufactured good guy Punk storyline to breakdown slowly tho,a lot of places to go with that.

So we want Page to keep the title. We not ready for punk yet? Lol

A Punk win is a win for Hangman detractors, plus idk if I like Hangman talking big s*** all feud just to lose

  • May 28, 2022

You know what maybe page should win which causes Punk to turn heel and s*** on everybody because of his ego. I am okay with that. Do we still think Punk need to take it off page? MJF is eventually going to be in the picture.

  • May 28, 2022

    Hangman shouldn’t lose this match.

I get that he might because of how big Punk is for business right now but honestly this doesn’t have to be a one match feud.

Even Hangman winning the DoN match and then Punk taking the title in the next match between the two would do more for both guys.

That’s another thing,I don’t think it’s impossible for Wardlow to lose tomorrow

  • May 28, 2022

Imagine telling someone 6 months that Cody Rhodes would be wrestling in the MGM Grand Arena in June for not for AEW.

  • May 28, 2022

We might see some upsets. Never know with Tony.

I get the business decision to put it on Punk but I feel Hangman has a bit more gas in his tank as champ. We at least gotta get that feud with Mox we were gonna get before he went to rehab

I really want Hangman to avenge his All Out loss for the title against Jericho too before it ends.

  • May 28, 2022

Btw I’m getting this PPV for free with my built up FITE coins.

I think Page should drop it to Punk, have Punk go on a heel run then drop it to a young guy.

I get the sentiment of Page having the title for a little longer but I’d say strike while the iron is hot

The young guy is MJF. Punk shouldn't turn heel if that happens.

Tbh I don't think MJF wins until his contract is almost up

Lets say Punk turns it won't be MJF that beats him it'll be someone like Darby. Kingston still has a built in story that could make for a great build to a title win as well. Also, if the MJJF contract issues are legit then there's no point putting the title on him lol

I didn't even think about Darby as AEW champion
