I think it works better for fans for sure, WWE has basically normalized Saturday as a PPV day, but unless your physically there, PLE feel like house show matches with storylines imo.

Yep, this is a totally new era for wrestling. Attitude Era as a litmus test is outdated because of how trashy wrestling was considered at that time, Jerry Springer, Trailer Parks, Poverty and wrestling kind of went hand in hand. Now wrestling is popular and basically more widely accepted by media and people from all walks if life.

This is speaking specifically for wrestling in the US.
