Wrestling used to be bigger in certain territories (particularly the south) than pro sports. Many a NFL player quit the league to become a wrestler because it paid better.

Killing the territories greatly shrunk the wrestling market. He then bought WCW and half the viewers of the biggest phenomenon in TV left and never came back. And got the next 20 years he ran everyone else off with his own ineptitude.

Wym? Vince created Hulkamania, DX killed WCW on a tank, Bret violated his contract, and wrestling was only seen in crack dens until WM 1.

He’s still Vince’s mouthpiece and I’m sure Vince is still gonna have influence over creative.

He’s always hawking the s*** out of it on Friday night twitter and is constantly putting on at least one big match be that a TNT title match or a big tag match with consequences or a singles match with a lot of buzz.

But all the booking in the world can’t save it from the fact that it airs on a late night Friday night when most people are out enjoying the start of the weekend.
