During his appearance on Sunday Night's Main Event, Dave Meltzer confirmed that an agreement with Sasha Banks and Naomi was reached over a week ago and they are expected back at any time. WrestlingNews.co was the first to report that Banks and Naomi reached an agreement to return to the company.

    Meltzer said the following:

"Last week, which is the last I checked, the contract hadn't been signed but they were all expecting that it was happening. They were all on the same page. I was basically told it's as good as done but they haven't signed so it could fall through. They may have already signed by now but a week ago, I was told they're back. It could be tomorrow, it could be in a couple of weeks. It's whatever day they want. They are probably pacing things. You don't want to show all your cards in week 1 (after Triple H taking over). You want to have something big to talk about every week for the next couple of weeks. An agreement in principle was reached over a week ago."

During Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced that there would be a tournament held to crown new Women's Tag Team Champions. It's expected that Banks and Naomi will be involved in some way. If they are not in the tournament then they would be involved in a feud with whoever gets crowd as the new champions.

    The dream is over.

If Vince stuck around a bit longer we really could have gotten Mercedes Banks vs. Riho.

Wish Sasha had left so I could watch her wrestle for a company that shouldn't be dead. Oh well

  • Aug 8, 2022

    Smackdown was honestly pretty good.

  • Aug 8, 2022

Can’t believe people really thought Sasha would go to AEW lol

  • Aug 8, 2022

I highkey think Sasha isn't interested in using her real name in wrestling anymore lol. The Sasha Banks name is pretty much her now

  • Aug 8, 2022

It makes me wonder if HHH is cool with people becoming bigger than the brand

I feel like he has someone “big” signed and ready to debut for All Out. Unfortunately, I think that someone is Bray

When was the last time Riho was on TV?

Y’all know damn well Sasha would have had a clunky ass match with Rosa then feuded with Britt for 3 months there’s no saving that women's division

  • Aug 8, 2022

Ain’t nobody trying to watch Sasha against bumass Britt and boring ass Rosa

Sasha vs Jade would’ve been cool and I love Jade but Sasha would’ve had to do one hell of a carry job

  • Aug 8, 2022

I bet Sasha made up her mind the second Bayley got her wish with the Iyo/Kai stable

I doubt Naomi was truly ever leaving

For all the s*** people had to say about Vince, letting an anti-draw who's lil NXT product was a failure run the entire show is hilarious

The victory laps people are running for HHH is so confusing

HHH tried to make himself look like the guy who rocks with internet fans and "the little guy".

Cause there's a massive section of WWE stans who think Tony Khan and AEW need to be put in their place for I guess daring to exist.

They already buy into WWE propaganda so it ain't a stretch for them to further deify their "Papa Haitch" as their ultimate weapon

Karrion Kross and Scarlett have been officially added to WWE's internal Smackdown roster.

Kross will be positioned as the number two heel behind Roman Reigns, PWInsider.com is told.

Scarlett will be managing Kross and isn't currently planned to be wrestling regularly, but obviously the door is open for that.

PWInsider.com is told that after the pair were released last year, there was regular communication between them and WWE so the change in power worked in their favor.

Kross are expected to complete their independent wrestling appearances as much as possible.
