For the culture
All the respect to Mick Foley but they should have just let Styles do One Night Stand 05 alone...it's like he's trying to be a heel commentator and mocks Joey throughout but is all friendly and fun loving about it...Styles no sells most of it and idk it's just awkward lol Mick even says at one point he'll just sit back and let Joey do his thing
I'm an Ospreay stan but United Empire vs Death Triangle was not "5 stars" lol. Dave has jumped the shark with his ratings for about 6+ years now

I knew something was fishy when he gave that Young Bucks/Adam Cole vs Jungle Express/Christian match at Full Gear a 5 star lol
MJF/Darby was match of the night and got like 3.5 stars lmao

Really the argument should be that no one’s “rating” is absolutely right. At the end of the day, art is subjective.
Have to say though, Nash’s point is reductive. When Al Pacino goes to Inside The Actor’s Studio they don’t start talking to him about how many tickets Scent of a Woman sold. And when you leave the theatre from a Avengers movie you don’t turn to your friends and start raving about how much Robert Downey Jr. got paid for that.
It seems that when it comes to every other form of entertainment people focus on the craft but for some reason the people inside and outside the wrestling industry try to focus most on the money because a lot of people either involved or invested in this form of storytelling aren’t self aware in the slightest and have the most fragile egos that they need the money made to validate themselves.
Nash can say it’s about the money and the miles and it is to a minor degree to a professional in the industry but when trying to hang the fact that he’s probably made more money then Ospreay he also doesn’t include the fact that he was the biggest financial loss WWE ever endured from making someone their world champion and that the most money he ever made a company was when he was a backup dancer for Hollywood Hogan.
And we all know we aren’t gonna try to compare Nash to Ospreay from an actual wrestling standpoint because Nash couldn’t outwork Ospreay on his best day.
So it’s a really stupid argument that people’s tribalism is gonna cause them to dive into headfirst.

I love Nash as a character but he couldn't outwork Nakazawa if we're keeping it a buck
