Which years since 2015 have topped 2015?

Hit me up with links bro
I'm always open to be proven wrong
I understand what OP saying and I understand people that feel like we need to stop looking back
Every gen has their favorite year/era in music
Some OGs talk about 88, 90s heads show love to the mid 90s etc
I think it’s fair to feel like we shouldn’t be stuck in the past but revisiting these eras is part of preserving the history. The idea of nostalgia is nothing new but mediums change so people reflecting on a pivotal point in time serves as an archive for all generations
2015 was a great year. Def felt like there was a shift. The evidence is there. Major artists put out some of their best projects and artists in the underground scene were starting to flourish
Like it or not we’re gonna see posts like this all the time bc it really was a big year for music
She was on Astroworld and Jackboys its not like they havent been working together
You right but I'm talking that OP/Rodeo sound

Too high for that lean sipper
OP is right idk why so much pushback. 2015 set a bar artist and producers haven’t reached again yet.
feels like pi'erre perfected the simple trap beat formula with Magnolia and ever since basically every beat has had the same rhythm
no but “art rap” peaked in 2015
this 'abstract' hip-hop wave feels like a continuation of art rap's ethos imo
OP is correct
hip hop is ass now
Idk, I feel like we've had a good recovery from the fast food hair dye period that was real f***ing bad in 2018-19. Couldn't connect with so much of that s***.
Lots of great new faces coming up and established artists hitting their strides now though.
I feel like Mainstream Rap should be ready to embrace an older styles. There's going to be point where we hear less trap influenced hits and we start hearing variation. We heard pretty much a whole decade of that style, not saying it's going to die, but I feel like rappers are going through a phase where we start hearing a balance between styles again, which I could hope to hear again.
i agree with op as far as mainstream music goes. underground is better than ever rn tho so i’m set
Saying this like their wasn’t a fair share of mid too
There’s amazing material now people just choose to ignore it and keep checking for the artists that didn’t transition into the 20’s well
It happened with the 2010’s, so many rappers didn’t make it out the 2000’s lmao it’s ridiculous how much changed in so little time
bozo
Who the bozo going BACK 4 months just to quote me?
And I aint even offend you
mainstream production definitely. if you look hard you’ll find some fire s*** like in OP. It’s just gonna take someone from the underground or a big name to make sounds like that fire again
