you have to if 100% is your goal
I mostly guide up to max social links and personality stats in one run. If I miss some optional side dungeons so be it
I’ll replay the game in a couple years when they drop the updated version with more content
Idc I always guide up my first run. I ain’t playing NG+ for a 100 hour game. I’m good
should be an extra 20 for ng+ since you will one shot all the boss just going for the superboss
yeah, i might not be that far but ive been running with healer(mage) / brawler / knight(brawler) on hard mode for a few hours now
just beat Zorba with brawler / healer / mage (hard) first go so yeah its not forcing a warrior trio on you
edit: the human is down too but had to switch out the mage for a knight and make everyone sub-mages for Bot
bout to play the demo soon
hoping its good, im not a fan of persona (although i dont think theyre bad) but i like SMT and SMT5 even before the extended re-release is the best JRPG to me in over a decade and rekindled my interest into jrps, the last one i played before that besides p5 royal was nino kuni 2
The combat system is closer to SMT(though I would still say there are a lot of elements that make it different from both Persona and SMT completely). But if you weren't a fan of the social sim aspects of Persona, like leveling up your social stats and relationship; that's still heavy in here(the demo doesn't highlight this aspect much)
Really digging this game so far.
My only gripe is the day system, but I understand why it’s there
Did yall beat the first dungeon in one day?
I'm on hard and idk I might have to hit the inn one time

I beat it in 2 days, the demo stops you before a certain boss in the dungeon so it kinda encourages you to go out. Honestly if I didn't play the demo I would have tried to beat it in 1 day; If you are struggling with MP switch to Mage on MC since the field skill gives you back MP

How is the game thus far? Once I've had my fill of Sparking Zero (and P3R) I'll probably dabble
I hate to say it, but i'm kinda liking this more than Persona

Its a bit too early to say but I kinda agree, I feel like there is a greater emphasis on gameplay compared to Persona. I like how we have dungeons outside of the main story dungeon and I know its a minor detail but I appreciate things like Informants giving you advice on what you will face in said dungeons; it kinda adds to the preparation.
Anyway, I really love this game so far

I got kinda burnt out on P3, still gotta go back to it
So far so good, I'd say I enjoy the battle system a lot, the setting I'm more into compared to being in school.. Which I still love Persona, but fantasy settings are hard to beat. Just has a more mature element to it.
Gameplay still in the beginning portion, probably an easier experience on normal difficulty, but on hard it gives the right challenge

my MP management was too poor for that lol
Not one to complain about this, but man these character models and animations in cutscenes/dialogue f***ing suck. Their poor quality is so jarring when everything else is so incredibly high quality.

Yea they gotta move on from the P5 engine lol.

I honestly prefer how it is in P5 since they the animations were kept to a minimum, whereas with Metaphor, it just feels like they're doing too much with that engine so it just looks so out of place.
