sony got better exclusives, but barely any have released for ps5 (returnal, spiderman 2, ratchet ps5, and demons souls are the worthwhile ones)
xbox got backwards compat for the 360 gen
weigh those and see what you want

Dec 24, 2023LisaOnly get a PS5 if you’re really going to take advantage of the exclusives which are mostly Japanese games. You should be buying 2-3 exclusives per year to make it worth it.
If you’re only gonna buy an exclusive once every 2-4 years then there’s no point.
If you’re mainly going to be playing multi platform or crossplay games then Xbox is the better value considering the console is cheaper (on sale for $350 rn) and game pass is the best value in gaming.
Xbox has a better controller with vastly superior battery life because you can just buy eneloops that’ll last a week before needing a charge and then you just swap them out. PS5 has haptic feedback and triggers that can increase immersion but the drawback is decreased battery life.
Xbox has more storage at base but PS5 is much easier and cheaper to upgrade storage.
So yea it mostly depends on whether or not you’re really gonna be in it for the exclusives or not. I’m talking Xbox Series X too. Don’t waste money on a series S.
Series X is $280 at target today. No brainer.
