What's the point of a PS5 Pro? It's already the most powerful console just behind Xbox Series X ain't it? Unless the PS5 Pro comes with some very big exclusive titles I don't see why people would need a Pro version. I can understand people wanting a Switch Pro, but a PS5 base model is already very powerful so I don't get why this is a big deal.

it’s just time. building a powerful console in 2024 yields a more powerful console in 2020 at a similar price point, also remember $100 more is compared to the disc version, if we’re talking about the actual beef of the system it’s $400. So $200 more and 4 years is gonna be a big upgrade.

with a disc tray 700 easy

was unaware that many of you were committed to digital only

To play GTA 6 also in 30 fps but with 15% more resolution and slightly more transparent shadows.

Oh snap I can do that with a PS5 Pro? Preordered

  • Nute

S*** better let me run PS4 games at 4K60 without needing a patch or what are we talking about

i dont think this is possible considering most games that arent upped are framerste locked and sony would have to be willing to have a feature that rewrites game code even just a line or two

it would be a buggy mess for some games bc some games are known to have their physics tied to framerate. its really not a hardware issue its something thats up to the developer on a case by case basis. if rockstar hasnt done it for red dead, u cant expect others 2 do it tbh

  • if they was smart they'd sell pro as an accessory and make the joint upgradeable but im unsure if ps5 was built for that

honestly most games I’ve played this year the performance wasn’t the best across the board, it depends on the game but I played ff7r, black myth, stellar blade, another crabs treasure, shadow of the erdtree etc all choppy depending on the location or how much is happening on screen. Also my hope is that maybe from now on with ps5 pro the 60fps modes in new releases will be more clear cause a lot of them are blurry compared to quality

some games like dragons dogma 2 I heard the performance was so bad I just didn’t buy on ps5

Well, your name is "Mr.Motion" but, what if that motherfucker $1K?

But nah, I'll laugh hard as hell if Sony just priced the Pro at a $1000.00. Forget $999.99, this s*** a grand

Idk why people don't understand this. I love playing on my PC, but for a lot of people it's a no go for XYZ reasons. Not everyone wants to deal with playing on PC.

If that really is the case then I'm sold and I'll sell my ps5 closer to the GTA launch (I'm expecting another delay tho)

    Enjoying ps5 rn

pc will yield the best performance everyone knows that, but it's also kind of a hassle when you factor in all the riggamorale you have to go to get that performance
