Idk why people don't understand this. I love playing on my PC, but for a lot of people it's a no go for XYZ reasons. Not everyone wants to deal with playing on PC.
Yup I just wanna switch it on and play...no fluffing with settings or drivers or anything else. You know it's already optimised. Console is the best for me personally and I used to be a heavy pc gamer
Do we get carrier trade in deals with ps plus like Apple get’s with their iPhones
honestly most games I’ve played this year the performance wasn’t the best across the board, it depends on the game but I played ff7r, black myth, stellar blade, another crabs treasure, shadow of the erdtree etc all choppy depending on the location or how much is happening on screen. Also my hope is that maybe from now on with ps5 pro the 60fps modes in new releases will be more clear cause a lot of them are blurry compared to quality
some games like dragons dogma 2 I heard the performance was so bad I just didn’t buy on ps5
rebirth def has a lot of issues. SOTE ran fine for me but I havent been giving it the most time or attention. maybe I'll cop if i feel like it's a worthwhile upgrade
I'm pretty on the fence about it, but I have a nice tv and want to keep feeding it sick high quality images

ps plus premium + ps5 trade in gets you 100 off your ps5 pro + free spider-man 2 PS5 Skin (skin only fits PS5 base consoles)

personally i view it like this
$400 ps5 that I’ve played hard for 4 years, I can sell it to GameStop for $350 credit towards the pro.
At that point it’s more like im buying a $250 upgrade for my ps5 that erases those 4 years of use and is more powerful. kind of a no brainer at that price point.
If its more expensive I will second guess this decision but I doubt it’s more than $600 for a digital pro

Stellar Blade had great performance from what I remember outside of that one city ruins area in the desert, but I think they patched that too
Hold up. If the PS5 Pro announcement is as early as 10 days into September then that means...Nintendo still got room to pull out the Switch 2 in the next two weeks

Stellar blade did the best of all those games probably but it still dipped to 50s in a few areas for me
It’s really just unsteady 50-60 that looks kinda eh to me and it feels worth it to sell my ps5 and buy the pro to remedy that

honestly if i feel that it's worth it, I'll just keep both and put the ps5 base in my bedroom It'd be nice to be able to move between the two. (tho i've heard the cloud memory save situation is kind of a pain)
Even if I had a PC I’d plug into my 77 inch OLED anyway
I’m not browsing the damn internet on that screen tho and I’m not setting up a desktop station in my living room. F***ing up all my aesthetics
Console home setup + laptop I’m cooling
Someone been throwing $400 around. If the Pro is $600, that's basically giving it away to current PS5 users, which isn't a bad thing if they wanna tout good sales for the Pro.
When the PS4 pro and Xbox one x dropped I traded in my day 1 systems and got the upgrades for like $200 out of pocket
Think about it, you are not rocking the day 1 model the entire console generation. If you do then by the end of it you will be suffering. You should be upgrading ASAP to maximize trade in value so there’s less coming out of your pocket
Would you rather trade in now and put up $350 for the pro? Or would you rather be mad at yourself when GTA 6 is beating the s*** out your big ass day 1 system and now you have to trade in and pay $450 out of pocket?
Only system I didn’t trade in to upgrade was my gen 1 switch since those are valuable cus they can be jailbroken. I just bought the OLED switch straight up

That's fine with VRR though
there’s no games for the ps5. only nintendo can save this console generation
nintendo games are superior on PC and a lot of these new games coming out of post iwata nintendo are mid if you’re not a complete full throated manchild fanboy. nintendo not much better lmfao
$699 USD is wild though lmao the PC master race gonna be out in full force tearing down this announcement
as they should be

y’all sound like y’all haven’t played games on PC in like 10+ years. it absolutely is by default a plug in and play situation especially w steam lmfao let alone steam deck. drivers? nigga if you’re using winblows (which you shouldn’t be, but i’ll settle for this battle rn) or many linux distros your drivers are taken care of automatically via the prepackaged update software. if you wanna go beyond that you can bc you’re on PC. y’all are just scaring yourselves out of the good life with rumors and old prejudices basically
Imma get a Pro and not give a damn what anybody think about how I spent MY money.
Some of ya'll got it bad spending other people money when they didn't ask you...
Kinda crazy to think ps5/xbox are already 4 years old
We’ve gotten next to no real next gen games and we getting a pro version

this gen is just defined by loading times/higher polycount, i feel like we'll never get huge leaps between gens like we used to

I had issues starting cyberpunk that only got sorted after going through some bios s*** reading through reddit. I don't expect to be going online finding solutions to play a game. Cool u love it. Most people wanna unwind, lay on the couch and play some games on their TV...not sitting behind a desk like they been doing coming home from work
Started shadow of the colossus for the first time. Might need the ps5 pro to run this game.
You definitely will. Game is practically unplayable at sub-500fps
