Just got back from a walk through the park listening to Ted Lucas' album. Had a nice little cry to It's So Easy, thanks for putting me on my friend

the John Andrews cover is amazing, gunna listen to the rest of this asap
the guy who did the session guitar work for Parachute, Vic unitt ... so f***ing good. he matched the sounds May was going for on it so perfectly every song .. the solo at 2:33 on this hits just how u want it to every time. and then after the way May comes back in for the last verse
untouchable songwriting
crazy how there isn't any velvet underground or sgt. peppers in that essentials pic

Velvets were anti-psych and everybody on earth and their grandma knows about Sgt Pepper so no need

thought i put Sgt Peppers in there tbh but guess I decided not to since I put Magical Mystery
VU are amazing of course but I don't think they're psychedelic besides maaybe a few trace elements

Think it’s because the first VU song i think of is Heroin
And thanks for not s***ting on me for my opinion lol

yeah Heroin is one of a couple songs where I can maybe see some but it's hard to argue for it being fully psychedelic instead of just overtly d***gy in a different way
also think a lot of stuff from the period can sound vaguely psychedelic to some just because of it being ingrained the sound of the times. like how some people think The Kinks are psychedelic because they sound similar to some Britsh style psych music but I don't hear much of it outside of a few songs

Lady Godivas Operation i consider pretty psych
dont worry about me, ive got all that i need k this classic @RVI
next one is even better
(decreasingly psychedelic by that point but still)

Next one starts out incredibly strong but the faster jam parts don't do it for me
