Wanted your opinion on something - usually when some f***ed up crime happens like a rape or some murder or kidnapping - some people say the criminal should be hanged or worse - tortured or something.

Do you think that putting out heinous punishments for heinous crimes acts as a deterrent for future potential criminals or nah?

  • no i don’t support capital punishment or executions

Death is the easy way out. They should live to reflect and regret their actions.

To a certain degree. Crazy people will be crazy regardless and do f***ed up things without caring about the punishment.

Wouldn’t mind Pedophiles being chemically castrated. That’s about it.

In theory yeah but it’s like ellinia posted up there ^ crazy people will do f***ed up things without caring about a punishment. Some people are beyond being capable or repentance. For example someone that harms a child to me is a lost cause, like who doesn’t know not to harm a child from the get go? They need years of prison to reflect on it? Cmon man f*** those people let them die

I don’t believe the state should have the right to end anyone’s life without their consent. Thieves in Jamaica get beaten and get their hands chopped off but niggas are still out there stealing s*** so no I don’t think capital punishment is a real deterrent.

  • Dec 2, 2019

    No torture

    Executions is a tough thing

I’d like to be against them, but then I think about what if someone did it to my family

  • Dec 2, 2019

no I don’t like the eye for an eye mentality. It’s a vicious circle.

I disagree. Jail is not a punishment.

Jail has free food and a place to sleep....something that even innocent homeless people dont have.

If they catch someone stealing, slice his arm off. If someone gets caught raping, slice his d*** off. And all killers should end up dead imo

but hey, that's just me and I'm an idiot

An estimated 68% of released prisoners were arrested within 3 years, 79% within 6 years, and 83% within 9 years. (2005-2014)

Edit: These aren't specific towards heinous crimes, just demonstrating in general that the punitive system doesn't work
