PlanktonDrake is responsible for a large amount of Future’s commercial success, especially hit records, but Future was already “on” with DS2, and arguably the 3 mixtape run leading up to it. Yes, there was also Drake stimulus on Pluto, but that was only one hit of many. I don’t think it’s fair to say Drake put Future on even if he did gift him all his biggest hits.

You’d have a better argument there, kind of hard to imagine where Future would be without those two. But still, the defining and breakout song of Future’s career was solo and had no production from Metro

then evol came out like two weeks later, which was def over-saturating and i think the main reason ppl were sayin he was losing steam
