Interesting you say this because I noticed Pharrell is using the same exact drums on like 5/6 of the beats on here but he pulls it off so good somehow imo. The rhythms he pulls off on here with them are soooooo 2000 in a good way
Bruh what about these P beats sound 2000s lol
not better than Daytona that's for sure, but still decent
I'm not really feeling most of these pharell beats tbh
You really hear the difference between ye and Ps quality
I’m not sure about kid Cudi on this album lmao doesn’t fit at all
Don on the other hand whew
track with cudi and ye really disappointing for me, that sample is fking annoying

Fr. Idk, I like open air, and the melody he used for neck and wrist, but the rest ain't hitting

Yeah it sounds super cheap lmao like a wrath of Caine beat
All of P's beat except neck and wrists have the laughing sound effect in them
I thought it was a thematic element of the album

Maybe, but i noticed only the P beats have them on there
Oceans like the worst P beat ever lol
I honestly feel like the “stock” and “thin” critiques is too easy of a critique to make, when I could easily say the same about most classic Neptunes beats if I wanted to, they’re all stock sounds and relatively thin and repetitive too. But for me the P magic is still there.
I almost feel like it’s one of those things where if you’re a producer and have more of an idea “how the sausage is made” then you tend to over a***yze where the sounds are coming from and not just enjoy it. The energy on these just goes crazy and is very nostalgic. Also let’s at least say that Neck and Wrist isn’t thin
nah bbc
Maybe, but i noticed only the P beats have them on there
It’s definitely on one of the Kanye songs too I forget which

LTSSTC ? cause that's P
Overall I think I prefer a push album with all Ye production.
Speaking of ye, what was he doing on that rock n roll joint
The Donny Hathaway sample is otherworldly. Why isn't Ye working like this for his own albums man
4 beat count: P
no 4 beat count: YE
Nah cause I think Hear Me Clearly sounds like Pharrell but it’s Ye. He leaned in on both sounds
