    what inspired the art direction?

The album title and sound came first, which pointed me in the direction for the art. The music was sounding 80’s and upbeat, so I went with cover art that borrowed from the 80’s art with a lot of pastel/gradients

For the ski mask, we paid a guy to make it but told him what we were looking for. We used the ski mask cause that’s our symbol basically lol, we started wearing them when we dropped our first EP Spring Break Forever (inspired by the movie Spring Breakers). But we told the artist to make it look like an Aurora was reflecting off the mask

Editing to add that the goal was to make the visuals as stark a contrast to our previous era as the music was. The previous era was a lot of black and white, inverted (inspired by Bleach by Nirvana’s cover). With that project we were going for a grunge sound

Been thinking that this would probably be my last album. I’ve made some more music since but this s*** is so personal for me that I can’t imagine exceeding it. But I’d love to hear some feedback on it, I can’t imagine anybody getting to track 2 and turning around

If y’all prefer rap, I’d suggest Holy Water, Seven Years Bad Luck, Medicate, Move Along, & Pretty Young Things

If y’all f*** with the synth pop stuff, Love & Other D****, Christina, Dead of Night, Bleed, Corner of my eye, and Save Yourself

But if y’all are open to whatever and have time to jam the whole thing I’d love the feedback

srsly?? I thought you sent it to someone else to handle mixing and mastering

    that's damn impressive

dont retire after this fam, you'd be wasting your talent. Just make music whenever it feels right....even if it's once every 6 months

    what even is synth pop

    kevonthetrack

    what even is synth pop

Pop music that uses synths heavily with a big focus on that as the main instrument. Peep the song Save Yourself in OP to get the idea. For more famous examples, the Drive soundtrack is loaded with synth pop songs. New Order, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Gary Numan. More modern synth pop would be like Chromatics or Grimes earlier music like Genesis or Oblivion.

just finished listening to the project. it’s great man. my favs are christina, bleed, seven years bad luck, pretty young things, and love & other d****. that last half of pretty young things is too f***ing nice. that outro of seven years bad luck has me so f***ing mad because i want to know how to make that sound it’s so f***ing godly.

    Christina is my favorite too

7 Years is the only song to use a sample, so all I did to get the sound at the end was just slow down the sample lol, wish I could give better advice on that.

Thank you for listening bruh fr, much appreciation

    3,000 streams since Friday

    Finally passed 300 monthly listeners

Save Yourself becomes my second song on Spotify to pass 1,000 streams

Every song on the album has 100 plays at least which suggests that the album has been completed 100 times

Not huge numbers but it’s a good starting point ❤️

Love & Other D**** seems to be the standout hit
