Christina - acoustic & pretty synths, inspired by Mazzy Star / Cigarettes After S***

Love & Other D**** - the standout from the album according to most people. Inspired by a mixture of New Order, The Weeknd, and Tame Impala

Pretty Young Things - the album intro, a Hip-Hop ballad with multiple switches. The first song recorded for the album way back in December 2018 originally (reworked until we dropped it)

I f*** with the synth heavy production hard. Gives it a nice futuristic sound, and the vocals fit perfectly with it.

Listened to a few random songs at work and will listen to the rest later. Good s***.

I also f*** with the overall aesthetic

Music really do be too exhausting man. Every release gets a little more attention, but not as much attention as I want it to get. Doesn’t feel like a path altering amount of attention, even as our feedback gets better. I hate how tight the barriers of entry into the Industry are. Used to be payola, now it’s Playlists and tricking algorithms. It’s becoming easier to break in, but the industry is trying to control it still or some s*** idk it’s just annoying lmao

I wanna do videos for every damn song on this album

The ones I think really need videos are Medicate, Love and Other D****, and Christina.

The most synth pop songs are Save Yourself, Love & Other D****, Bleed, Corner of my Eye, and Dead of Night. Christina is an acoustic synth pop song (it’s my favorite off the album lol), and Medicate is a synth pop rap song (probably my second favorite)

    Lmk what you think fam

I read that he was one of if not the first to do a totally computer created album, using all synthesized sounds for his music. That’s literally what made me decide to go in this direction, idk why lol I guess knowing he made songs that sounded like they had real instruments, but it was all synthesized made me look at production different lol

that's amazing, and i didn't know that but the pleasure principle's from '79 so it doesn't surprise me.

and nah dude your inspiration makes perfect sense to me. it's cool to see your vision come to light.

you ever listen to Naked Eyes or XTC? they're my biggest inspirations these days. really into Oingo Boingo, Lemon Demon, synth pop stuff like that. i've been on a kick

Honestly never heard of any of the guys you’re saying

I mostly have been listening to the 80’s guys but I’m gonna check these out fam

George Clanton also had some influence on this project, he’s a current guy. Calls himself vaporwave but idk if that’s really the right genre to put him in lol, but it’s a big time vibe
