This has to be related to your "idea" from the other day that you didn't even share. Why do you insist on asking this place who can't even understand basic interactions with women? That alone shows you shouldn't be a businessman.

Want an actual helpful quality? Learning how to google s***. Good luck

I’d actually say being able to connect with people and ask questions is one of the most important qualities in successful people. Understanding that asking for help is a good thing. Learning from others. Being a good communicator. You just sound like a f***ing clown

There are actual fourms dedicated to business/entrepreneurship. He could be there but instead he's here and I've seen maybe 2 good replies in this entire thread.

It also depends on the product too. You can talk a good game on the internet but if it blows up you need to be more than a good at typing words but you're like 17 most likely. So yes I am the clown for responding

OP, I’ve been busy responding to a few of these idiots in this thread, but I’ll give you a few things that helped me land a job on Wall Street.

    • A lot of successful people are willing to help you learn. There’s so many people on LinkedIn that would be willing to jump on a call with you to give you advice. Just make sure you are asking to learn, not for favors. This will also help you develop a strong network of likeminded people, which is a good environment to surround yourself in.

    • Having a strong understanding of a concept is better than producing results immediately. So I’m assuming you’re looking to start a business rather than get a job, but it applies in both scenarios. If you have a strong understanding of business concepts, whether it’s real estate or landing a good job, if you are well-versed in the area you’re pursuing, you’ll see results eventually. You have to learn how to accept rejection & loss, but those who know what they’re doing will win in the end. TLDR it’s cliche, but don’t give up and learn as much as you can.

    • Google really is your friend. Do not pay for courses. There are no get rich quick schemes. If there were, everybody would do it and it would no longer work. Why would someone sell you their millionaire-maker method for $399? It’s all a scam. You can learn literally anything & everything by using Google & YouTube. You’ll learn how to sift through the bullshit as you go. But as a general rule of thumb, avoid anyone who’s trying to sell you s***. If they sell courses and stuff on the side, that’s fine, but if they’re pushing it down your throat and gatekeeping information from you, they’re not a good resource.

    • Being able to sell yourself is huge. Whether it’s your career profile or a business idea, you have to learn how to translate what you’re doing in a way that others will understand. At the end of the day you’re interacting with other humans, so being able to connect with them on a personal level & lay out what you bring to the table is crucial.

Also one last thing I’ll add is to avoid jealousy at all costs. I can’t tell you how many people I considered to be close friends that act different around me now that I’m successful. I’m not the most successful person at my age, but I see others succeeding and it makes me happy. I love watching others succeed, especially those close to me.

Being a jealous person will never get you far in life. You have to see others succeed and say “I want to be like them” or ask questions to yourself asking “how did they get there” or “what are they doing differently than me”. You never want to get in the mindset of “that person doesn’t deserve that but I do”. It’s a very slippery slope that will leave you with a constant feeling of discontent & envy. Not a good energy to roll with and you’ll never get far being a person who always is comparing their success to someone else’s.

    Synopsis

"this means nothing because the reality of the situation contradicts my contrived bullshit"

sorry to tell you, but no, socioeconomic mobility is largely a myth.

u know that his og statement was that ppl want to make a lot of money rite? dis whole “well social mobility sez No” topic u started in response is irrelevant to what he was sayin cus it doesn’t take away from ppls wanting that thing still. many ppl have an idea of social mobility probs even if they don’t call em that, really doesn’t discourage the general population it seems

your post referred to jealous people who are envious of others success. let's ignore the fact that OP hasn't even done anything to warrant that reaction, no one trashed him. i specifically told him good luck.

i told him to look elsewhere for actual constructive advice and if he's already doing that then what's the issue.
