But revisiting some of both their work its crazy how much tarantino just copied from Lynch.

Weird crackhead characters, long music scenes, violence out of nowhere, long monologues and shots.

Kill Bill an obvious outlier cause thats inspired b Japanese movies

Once Upon a time in Hollywood well thats just worse Mulholland drive

What definitely seperates them is Lynch has these logic defying supernatural elements while Tarantino is more stylized and cartoonish.

think they just had the some of the same inspirations truthfully. Q hates Lynch a lot from what i've read

QT drew his influences from Japanese and Hong Kong films. S*** like City on Fire (1987)

i love tarantino's films but the man loves to act like a contrarian. he literally called truffaut a "bumbling auteur like ed wood", which is a pretty big claim from someone who was clearly inspired by The Bride Wore Black when making Kill Bill.
