I'm yet to see all of his films but so far I think KB1, Reservoir and Django are his best. Those are 5/5. Inglourious and KB2 are both 4/5. I think PF is a 3/5 though it has some really great scenes.
would be interested in tv/films that apply this Rick Dalton concept of handing industry transition to different eras within film. Hell, even outside of the film industry. Boogie Nights hits this concept.
maybe a Pam Grier/Fred Williamson type post Blaxploitation boom. maybe a Will Smith/MC Hammer type post 1993 in the world of hip-hop.

My experience was
First watch: Worst Tarantino movie
Second watch: Hey this is actually great
Third watch: This might be top 3 Tarantino
First watch: something off about this movie
Second watch: something off about Quentin
Third watch: bottom tier qt

I really hate the ending but even the good bits feel like off-brand Quentin. I still enjoy the general vibe throughout, the setting, Brad and Leo's friendship, the little girl and some other elements. Spend alot of time going tho

I haven't seen it in a minute but I have no desire to rewatch tbh

Top 3 Tarantino? Damn, that's high praise. I don't see it, but good for you.
I still think that H8 is maybe his worst. Shame
I did not like H8 at all. Not even when the s*** starts to go down
