incorrect, internal drives are usually built with much greater quality and typically last longer than external drives. Internal drives also don't spin anywhere as close to as fast as an external.

well personally for me, I usually keep all the project files that i'm currently working on my laptop and at the end of each month, I move my files to my hard drive.
As far as storing music software, all my plugins and instruments are on my hard drive so I can only produce really when my hard drive is plugged in.

I was actually surprised by this one when I opened it and found it was a 7k RPM one.
I got sick of having to use that dumb USB cord so I figured f*** it let me just cut out the middle man.

you normally can get external drives for cheaper than the internal ones, saves a lot when buying 2 8tb drives and with right to repair laws in my state they have to take my drive for its warranty but it loses 1 year of warranty since the internal drive in the case usually only come with 2 years (this is with Seagate)
