This is such a blanket statement - sounds like some s*** an edgy teen would say.
What defines a strong person, first of all?
To me, it's someone with a strong moral compass and sense of ethics, willing to fight for the progress and betterment of society/mankind. People who equate strong = "not a crybaby" are dumb af, imo.
And to say "times are good" rn is very naive. But guess what, man severily lacks foresight.

Yes. Everybody is so p**** now because things are easy as f*** today
wtf happened to this guy btw?
It'd be just grand if anyone could point to historical evidence of this at all, but the people saying this want to drag you down to be as stupid as them, so they'll claim that asking for evidence is 'Um, actually' nerd behaviour
This s*** is still the dumbest f***ing thing ever
love all the “great men” the middle east has created with the hard times the USA imposed on it
hard times
Eh
try talking to someone who has never struggled and tell me what that's like
try talking to someone who has never struggled and tell me what that's like
I know people that struggled that turned out to be the most egotistical a******s and i know people that struggled that are great members of their community. Kind of a blanket statement
A strong person is literally anyone who is physically and mentally healthy and has some semblance of intelligence
aren‘t people who are mentally or physically challenged even stronger for enduring it?

its not about ego though or what they do for others

you saw that tweet too, didn’t you
its not about ego though or what they do for others
English is not my first language
I mean they are self serving and i only look out for themselves.
I think hard times create more empathetic people
not true
I feel like if you come from the struggle, you’ll often be less empathetic in general. you will be able to rationalize doing f***ed up s*** to people bc you’re in survival mode and their life doesn’t matter as much as your survival

as someone who grew up in poverty in the US, like native american reservation poverty I'm telling you rn that's not true

Also how is empathy not related to what you do for others
Also how is empathy not related to what you do for others
its how you feel for others, not what you're going to do for them. I'd argue that's bordering on people pleasing.

Empathy means nothing if you dont back it up by action lmao
If you dont help others out who cares how you ‘feel’
