The Darkest AngelI see plenty of male rappers get hate on for subject matter but I know you're talking about s***specifically. In the case of Cardi B and Meg Thee Stallion type rappers the problem seems to be that's a MAJORITY of their lyrical content where a Rico or Lauryn Hill can get sexual but incorporate other topics.
But given the climate in society, we are experiencing a shift in cultural norms, we need to let these women express themselves in a liberating matter as hip-hop has been a hotbed for misogyny (I hate to say it but it's true), so just saying women being sexual in their rhymes is policing them. We need to give honest constructive criticism without being misogynist.
