All they said in the doc is that he’s an a****** / sexist. But never outright say he an abuser

I wonder if people are too scared to actually say it out loud

Idk I feel like they worked really hard to make him sound like an absolute danger to society while also clearly having zero evidence to support it outside of some s***ty treatment of female employees and innuendos in his shows. Anyone really paying attention could tell he was a power-hungry s***head not a child predator (very different), but anyone getting caught up in the drama of the doc may not vet those differences.

Dude never needs to work again, but there's some clear issue when Dan is getting more flack and calls for him to go to prison over.....the literal child predator who still managed to get a job on the Disney Channel after assaulting Drake Bell

I don’t think that’s an issue the show actually caused, though. If I remember right they spent like 1 episode and then a lll more on Dan and then spent the majority of it talking about ppl with actual cases and histories of abuse.

Dan’s name is just the most popular and has almost always had this stigma attached to it, so I don’t really feel like the show is adding to that when they didn’t even provide evidence like you said. But that could just be me misremembering the content of the docuseries

The final episode they made after the fact was basically just 40 mins of them tearing apart his awful apology and getting the actors to talk worse of him. They even tried to push Bell to say negative things about him which Bell wouldn't do.

For what it's worth I've seen a few TikToks of people interviewed saying that the producers weren't completely transparent with the nature of the doc. Feels like another layer of exploitation on top of the exploitation the actors experienced as kids.

Basically saying because the product of what they created was so successful and beloved people excuse the weird s*** Sneider did as “it’s just his process” he does some weird s*** but we get good results from it.

This excuse thrown around to this day on this site too. Someone is outed as problematic to work with and people don’t care because of the final product and call them a “mad genius”
