I've been looking for that one tik tok of the guy who "idc I still listen to r kelly" while looking back and forth.
Anybody know which one I'm talking about?
This one?
Y'all really just can't let that loud and proud repeat proven pedophile who incorporated his sexual deviancy with minors into the lyrics of much of his music go.
Listen to more music man.
Ngl some of Kelly’s lyrics do creep me tf out and I can’t enjoy them anymore
I remember on the N Luv Wit a Stripper Remix he said he wanted to put his whole head inside the girls p****.
This one?
Nah the caption was some derivative of "people who are desperate for attention be like.." and it was just some guy saying a bunch controversial stuff and then looking to see if anyone cares.
Describing R Kelly’s repeated pedophilic behavior simply as being “degeneracy” is f***in insane tbh
Yeah that was something that stood out to me too lol, giving the benefit of the doubt I feel like some people have a very broad spectrum for what they call "degenerate behavior"
R Kelly an especially egregious case, I'll give you that
Again tho, some of these artists are saying s*** in these songs that's "just artistic expression" until some s*** actually comes out. Listen to the end of Last Night for example, P Diddy talking about killing his love interest's new lover which has me like now. Tyler made a song like F***ing Young which raised eyebrows but actually had people like
when he dated that 19 year old a few years ago. There's probably songs you're listening to rn with real life evil s*** that you're brushing off as just lyrics
Like I'm just going to keep it consistent and not gaf. It's deadass just art to me. If Keanu Reeves went on a mass murder spree, I'd still be able to watch John Wick. I can do the same for music artists
if its "just art" and the people behind it don't matter then you should just consume AI slop
I can agree with this Not like I'm playing Age Ain't Nothing But A Number on the aux or when I'm getting down with a woman because I get it. But in the privacy of my home
s***offender type post
How did OP get 4 pages out of this milquetoast bullshit?
Edit: nvm simpletons arguing above, i understand now
if its "just art" and the people behind it don't matter then you should just consume AI slop
If AI becomes advanced enough to make a TCD during my lifetime, I will be there
I remember sophomore year in college (like 2014) i was lead singer in a band and the (white) guitarist wanted us to do a cover of ignition.
Even back then I was like ehhh lyrics too cringy im not singing that s***
his music is not sexy it’s just about s***and there’s a big difference
Looking back at r kelly music, it’s great production but some of these lyrics you can tell were written FOR teenagers.
Ngl some of Kelly’s lyrics do creep me tf out and I can’t enjoy them anymore

Bro his lyrics are awful dawg let’s keep a buck.
Hot take below if niggas wanna take it there
We can really start podding talk about R Kelly carrying R&B kinda contributed to some of its downfall (lack of subtlety in the lyrics)
Bro his lyrics are awful dawg let’s keep a buck.
Lyrically I was never impressed by R.Kelly. They always read as very simple and not really complex. Innuendos weren't all that creative either. Now maybe this is a result of him being illiterate for much of his life like he's said, but yeah, when it came to Kelz he was never saying/singing anything earth-shattering.
All that being said, simple lyrics isn't always a bad thing if all you're trying to do is connect with the listener. Also I'm sure he made it easy to understand for the teenagers he wanted to get at
Ehh I think the revision to his legacy is warranted given the content of his music. It’s almost our duty as consumers since it’s out in the open to make sure we’re informed about the alleged inspiration that led to some of these songs. From there if you still wanna overlook his transgressions then it is what it is.
As a heavy RnB enthusiast, I’d still generally consider him the king of RnB.
Of course it is. And the man wrote Bump N Grind, Street Thing. Great artist, despicable monster
Easily. He has multiple songs in my top 10 songs any genre and probably my personal favorite recording artist ever tbh
We all know this but posting threads like this every few months here, Twitter, and reddit doesn't help it
Would love it if y'all relaxed so I can continue conveniently forget this is r Kelly whenever I hear it at clubs/bars
