I never had this problem growing up in mostly black areas but after moving to a white college town my experience here been eye opening. My options are cut down to like 15% of the girls in my school who are black/or “poc”

With that being said it’s not a good feeling to feel like you aren’t preferred by anyone because of your skin tone. Preferring specific skin tones is weird on both a fetish level and a (self)hate level.

People like what they like, but subconsciously denying an entire group of people based off skin color is pretty prejudice rather it’s because of stereotype or “preference”

Tinder in the south is a whole different ball game I feel when you’re black. I’ll be one to be self aware enough to know my tinder profile has never been the greatest to right swipe on. But I know too many genuinely beautiful black people and Latinos males and female who have the same experiences as me.

These apps are overrun in the south by conservative white women when you’re a male. It’s a very specific type you’re swiping past over and over looking for something different. You don’t see it much these days because it’ll get you banned now, but at one point seeing “no black men, not racist just my preference” was VERY common. All the BLM in most profiles is virtue signaling at best. Which is weird imo when searching for white guys because they don’t care.
