My associate professor at UVA assigned a teaching assistant to grade my project. However, the TA did not grade my project correctly and I confirmed this with numerous staff within UVA. So I met with my associate professor and he proceeded to belittle my understanding of irrelevant assignments instead of fixing my project.

When I went to meet with the associate professor he started pulling up my old assignments that I scored highly on and asking me how I “understood advanced material considering I can’t explain the work.” He kept bouncing around various topics, interrogating me, asking if I cheated, and kept trying to prevent fixing my score on my project. I feel like he’s trying to imply that I can’t do the work and I’m cheating despite having a 98% in my programming assignments.

He wanted me to explain each assignment I submitted in detail despite no other student being able to do this. The he proceeded to tell me that he may or may not fix my grade depending on what he “feels is right.” I’m just wondering if I should fight this case or just drop out because it seems like they do things to hurt the success of minorities.
