barely top 10 of that year
This was also cuz that year was STACKED.
AM, Queens of the Stone Age, Disclosure, Lorde, Push, Ye, James Blake, Chance, Rocky, RTJ, and literally dozens more

shame you didn't mention the true grower of that year
they really gotta come out with a new album soon

I think this is a rly good album and top 3 Daft Punk, but I wouldn't even say its top 50 of the decade.

top 3 DP by comparison, and only ranking their studio albums

im including Alive 2007 in mine
Discovery
Alive
RAM
I prefer it to Homework tbh which just sounds too boring outside of Da Funk and Fresh. Around the World was done so much better on Alive.

damn you capping
I agree that the songs should've been shorter
I mean... it’s a good album, but for the most part it’s unremarkable. There’s no real cohesion or flow to the tracklist due to the sequencing, random features (though none are necessarily bad individually), and sonic mismatching. For example, compare the two disco-inspired, Pharrell-featuring tracks to the orchestral flourish at the beginning of Beyond (which goes nowhere) to the cinematic climax of Contact. That’s not to say that great albums can’t be varied stylistically, but it just doesn’t work well here imo.
Plus it’s hard to consider this as a standout from the decade when most of the album pays homage to sounds of the 70s and 80s. With all of that being said, Touch is one of my favorite songs from the decade.

yeah thats the big issue with a lot of Homework that most of the songs are just 4-5 mins of the same exact loop for the most part. Indo Silver Club is a heater too, but a lot of the songs are jus boring tbh.
Discovery is still one of my fav albums ever though. My only real gripe with that project was Too Long's length but otherwise jus god lvl

part of the reason I like Discovery is that the instrumentals in the middle are 2-3 mins long
Homework would've been so much better if it did the same but you have to remember the era when that album was created
DP wanted that s*** to be the soundtrack of long nights like the movie Climax

this s*** feels like a playlist, like more life
I wish they leaned into this and had sound effects between each song to enhance the randomness

yeah I mean for its time that was def great
And yeah I think Homework can still work as like a chill late night album or having some stuff on it being used in a party playlist, but yeah I just ain't going back to that like I do for my top 3.
SMDH everything on Endless is gold
What I was talking about Ram fam lol
its rlly good, all of endless is tbh, but its a diff kinda album for frank
Is that where his Aaliyah cover is from
"ass juicy" lol is a little far imo. it dips in quality a bit but still good imo.
Haha yeah me saying ass juice here is just for contrast of the claims that it’s the goat album of all centuries but there’s def a big snooze drop in there, like I said tho Touch and Contact makes up for it they’re some of the best songs of the album
Amazing production on here but nahhh. Among the best in prod in the entire decade
I like it a lot though and it's one of the best of its year
