this should be based on story/multiplayer and spec ops if you like

my personal list

1. mw2 = most memorable story with the shepherd betrayal and ghost/roach deaths. S*** was sad af. lots of iconic moments like burgertown and the whole us invasion missions. Multiplayer was kinda unbalanced but still was fun as s***. Fun maps to play on but some where campy asf (rust for instance)

2. black ops 1 = Really interesting campaign that was telling a serious story with real life events/people included to make it more immersive and realistic. The music was good too with the iconic 60s/70s rock and the atmosphere when you play the vietnam missions was pretty exciting . Multiplayer was cutting edge too and i dont need to say how cool zombies was when they brought it back

3. cod 4 mw= story was good but the ending felt kinda abrupt with the bridge sequence. was shocked to see the game end that suddenly after the chase and everything. Multiplayer was good and pretty similar too mw2. Also had the same annoying ass perks like martyrdom, Had campy maps and fun maps like every other cod (backlot is campers heaven)

4. mw3= wrapped up the makarov storyline in a satisfying way. Sad moment with soap dying but at least price was alive in the end. Multiplayer was good but not amazing.

5. World at war= Probably the most gritty/realistic story of any cod outside of black ops. Very grim and doesnt glorify the war. lots of moral grey areas and they didnt shy away from showing f***ed up s*** this game. They added a sick gamemode with zombies and only improved on it with black ops. Multiplayer was something i didnt really play much so cant comment too much on it.

og is goat. when only medal of honor and battlefield 1942 were around, the first game came out and blew them out of the water. campaign deserves to be hyped like how ppl do the same for mw1 and 2. multiplayer was great too.

Used to play Cod 2 at my friends house and Cod 3 on ps2

S*** I still play Cod 1 and 2. I started a new game on Cod 1 Veteran trying to beat the game on it recently

I played em all to some capacity, so....

Best ones:

MW2- The blockbuster of the franchise. Story was raw af. Most memorable setpieces and plot moments. Mulitplayer was insanely fun.

Black Ops 1- Cold War spy s*** was fun. Going from Vietnam to Cuba to Russia. The campaign had a cool mystery to it.

IW- Only for the campaign. The campaign was the best since BOPs 2. Good characters and the sense of isolation on the space ship after every mission was cool. But I like military sci fi s*** so it aint everyone's cup of tea.

Black Ops 2- Favorite multiplayer after MW2. Great maps. Campaign was cool too and pretty innovative for the franchise

COD 2- Underrated gem.

Worst ones:

COD 3- Forgettable af. Budget version of COD 2.

Black Ops 3- Ill give em credit for how batshit this one is, but the campaign was too weird for me

Ghosts- Forgettable campaign, forgettable multiplayer. Extinction was ok.

Gameplay in the new one is fire just maps are awful
Mw3 is big garbage
