30 is a benchmark decade for men, your 20s you can get away with some bullshit but by 30 (even late 20\s honestly) you’re expected to have s*** figured out maturity wise

Old for rap sure but really 30, like you said is the age you can't run from being an adult anymore. I guess if we take the life expectancy of black people in effect, it might just be. But it's like the latter part of young before middle age if anything
This thread made me think about the movie The Decline of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years, which was about the rager rock of the 80s & metal in general. Penelope Spheeris would have no place making that movie today, but, it's scary thinking about how raps young generation is in such a state of precarity. Someone should do it
