i think it’s cool there’s a variety of ways artists perform.

you always can see a band perform everything live, but that can’t work for everything.

& it can be a sacrifice of energy to really nail these heavy vocal chain songs nowadays, especially when a lot of the work comes down to the engineer pitching the notes.

i wouldn’t prefer seeing carti sound exactly like the record if it meant the energy became low

u always got people like Kendrick at every level who take their craft as musicians more seriously and do give a great live performance equal to the record

yeah there are many good rappers that are not great live performers unfortunately. I've been to a lot of dull shows where the artist either is unable or unwilling to work a crowd

It's that, and concerts in general, both hosting on the artist end and attending on the fan end are just getting expensive. Especially in major markets.
