mothershipThe whole thing is that I never said Kendrick was trash. I never even made it seem like my opinion was fact. All I said was that I don’t find him that technically impressive and you all jumped down my throat.
I don’t care about co-signs. GOAT rappers co-sign wack s*** all the time, whether its business motivated (considering how commercialized the game is today) or because they don’t want to seem out of touch. I’m not saying this is the case here, but co-signs mean nothing to me for that reason. Aside from that, just because a rapper I admire thinks Kendrick is elite doesn’t mean I automatically should. That’s some clone s***. If I don’t find him impressive I don’t understand how another rapper would change my opinion

Yea no I’m not about to brainstorm someone who meets your criteria. But Nas did co-sign Nav, who isn’t trash but pretty f***ing mid. Mattafact Nas hands co-signs out like candy. My point is, the s*** happens. Not all co signs are organic. It’s naive to think that co signs can’t be business motivated or that these old rappers don’t just wanna seem up with the times sometimes.
Also I never said he was below average. You keep trying desperately to move these goal posts like your buddies did. Just accept that it’s my opinion + you can’t change it and you won’t have to do all this

If Kendrick made a rap album with no concept whatsoever, just a bunch of songs with just him rapping then people would probably realize that he’s slightly above average at best. His strength is his artistry
His earlier work had more focus on punchlines and flow, I feel like he's more concerned with making complete sounding albums than still rapping like this. Don't think we'll ever see an Off Season type project from him
