Drill Music in Zion
I really thought it was gonna be a whole project of this
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R40DFzvbMtEYou mean Tetsuo & Youth or was Drill music supposed to release a lot earlier?
Joey Badass.
Not saying B4.DA.Money was a classic but the energy building into the project before the delays was pretty crazy and if he executed in timely fashion instead of releasing the filler tapes like Summer Knights I think it wouldve been received way better.
Feel like the energy was divided up and it couldv'e all went to one place.
I still think 1999 is a classic mixtape though.
Never liked I’m upset
Still one of his worst songs to me tbh, blows my mind it was even used as a single
That’s on you for thinking that man could drop a classic album.
Rocky post 2018 is basically Ben Simmons at the 3pt line
& all the sporadic loosies (some with elaborate videos) & stop start album announcements were the Ben Simmons off season knocking down 3pt shots in the gym videos
Same Problems & Mushroom Clouds were more enjoyable than most of the album we actually got
Whatever album Childish Gambino had planned to drop 2018-2019 was definitely gonna be his biggest drop and had classic potential.
Coming off the success of Awaken My Love, Atlanta, Guava Island, Coachella headline/Pharos 2, singles like Feels Like Summer, Summertime Magic, This Is America that blew up. A successful shoe deal and ad campaign with Adidas. Appearances in Marvel movies, a whole Google campaign featuring another highly anticipated single Human Sacrifice. Everything was leading up to catapult his music career into a whole new level. The his father passed. And he went reclusive.
Covid would later hit and we'd get 3.15.20 which I still think is a fantastic album. But he has said himself he put that album out just to put it out because he thought we were all about to die. I feel the remnants of whatever that 2019 album ended up becoming 3.15.20/Atavista and Bando Stone & the New World. I enjoy those albums, but just the way they were released (or re-released), it feels like there was definitely something bigger originally planned for them both but the time passed.
You had to be outside at the time
ahh I see there are requirements for this classic
yo Yachty was on a roll
Dude dropped like 5 songs in a row that were absolute gas
yachty next solo rap album will be the best album ever released from that big 3 (carti and uzi)
after them clb leaks i really thought drake made his magnum opus. nigga ruined love all wit that horrible hov verse and vital was nowhere to be found on the tracklist man i was HOT
Never liked I’m upset
I remember seeing the art work and the title and expected some 5am in Toronto type s***
I was disappointed af
donda
You mean Tetsuo & Youth or was Drill music supposed to release a lot earlier?
I wasn't implying it was a single. That's just what I wanted out of a Lupe drill album. Instead, we got an album he recorded in 3 days and shipped as an NFT.
don’t forget this one @op

2014 C5 leak a classic smh
Yachty in 2023 made no sense
Dropped Let’s Start Here in the early winter to acclaim only to support it for a few months and drop it in favour of a bunch of random trash singles that led to no album and being all over Drake’s fall album
He made them an EP what you mean?
that wasn’t a real EP that was a waterfall release
High Off Life coming so soon after The Wizrd and being buns
Kingdom come by jayz was supposed to be this big comeback album and fell so flat
that wasn’t a real EP that was a waterfall release
not you telling me about the topic I brought to this lil website we frequent
ktt2.com/will-waterfall-releases-become-more-of-a-thing-32560434
that s*** still a compiled EP lol, just released in a different structure
The fall off :-/
once I saw it was a double disc I knew it wasn’t going to be a classic and just a solid album at the very least
