Jordan Downs gonna be completely torn down soon they already got some of the new buildings up
i’m convinced if street scholars released properly back in the day, it would’ve been one of the best west coast albums for the 90s
guitar is nasty on this one
ye hip hop best genre of all time
@Bad_Finger_Boogie fav thread
battlecat production

Going through rare 90s hip hop is such a goldmine it’s kind of crazy. My favorite rare west coast thing was this g funk album by a guy who I forget his name but he had a crazy life story and is in jail for life now. The album was really personal and intense and religious and emotional, i’ll find it and post
Need this

@Vox yes, the album is called Prepare Yourself by Munchie
Both semi relevant but extremely underrated California artists
I’ve never really listened to Hi-C (yes I get the irony lol) but he has a LOT of Eazy E in him lol. That songs aight though tbh
the overall sound quality was just always there when a lot of hip hop just wasn't. I think the fact you can still play a song like Dopeman or even the OG Boyz N Tha Hood and the drums still knock just shows you Dre's ear was that good that early on. On top of that the quality of the actual songs were top tier. Compare the drums from this to other songs from around the same era

2001 is such an amazing album and I honestly forget how it came out in ‘98. That s*** might be the best sounding album on any medium, seriously. Whenever I get a record player and like a nice audio system, I’m copping that s*** immediately
this is an interesting cut interlude that was supposed to be before murder was the case on the soundtrack as a response to the tensions heating up on the east-west beef back in '94

yeah this in response to the dogg pound getting booed when they won an award in 94 and other artists taking little jabs in there speeches at the west. was one of the main reasons deathrow went into the 95 awards like they had something to prove.
Definitely not rare but I never heard anyone mention RBL on ktt
!https://youtu.be/mkMmOsgnb2II like RBL enjoy their record's. And i like Black C's stuff as well.
Even though he's crazy as Spaceghost, JT does have a nice catalog producing with Get Low records
