Born In The U.S.A. – Bruce Springsteen [1984]
rock and roll, pop
I really liked it. :)
Fav songs: Born In The USA, I’m Goin’ Down
Marcos Valle – Marcos Valle [1983]
pop, funk, soul
The greatest Brazilian pop album of all time made by the greatest Brazilian musician. Released in the beginning of the 80s, the album perfectly encapsulates the sound and vibe of that decade, especially in Rio de Janeiro. 🏋🏻♂️ The last good decade before the fall...
Fav songs: Para Os Filhos de Abraão, Estrelar, Samba de Verão
Estrelar is my s***. You should listen to Parabens of his 2004 contrasts project and Quarteto Em Cy their self titled project is another great project in a similar vain
Eden Roc - 9/10
Only a 9 to me because he has too many 10/10 albums. Due Tramonti is my fav but the whole album is a vibe.
Snooper - super snooper
Egg punk album someone posted here back in May when it released. I thought it was the most original album of 2023, because I had not learned egg punk is a whole genre and has existed for like a decade
It's still a great ass album, best egg album I heard, even above freak frequency by stuck. I will be honest, I like super snooper more than any prison affair tape and the only rival is the ismatic guru trilogy for me.
Snooper does a good job of fusing garage vibes with left field turns in the album that other egg bands just aren't really doing. The lyrics are in line with the genre but the vocals just hit right, even better than free refills, and the whole album is just a better listen
!https://youtu.be/kBqh86yBSBA?si=b9X2zGldEhVzOqAfIt's been on repeat since May for me but just burned it to a CD last night after getting it on bandcamp. Sounds great in the car.
9/10 but I wish it were longer
Listening now. I like
Listening now. I like
Listen to freak frequency by stuck next then
I ended up thinking Its way better
Here's a playlist I've made for this genre since I got into snooper and everything else

Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You by Big Thief
Very enjoyable 7.5/10. Needs a proper relisten too

Great album the physicals were really well put together too
Simulation swarm is one of my favorites of the decade so far still. Even though this album is so long it's worth it
Basically the album to make me admit "I guess I do like country"
IDLS - TANGK
Really surprised how much I liked this. I've liked some of their songs before but this album is climbing my 2024 list
XUL - Kai Whiston
One of the best experimental electronic albums I've heard in years. If you like electronic at all like that last James Blake album, definitely listen to this
Abriction - Banshee
Great fusion of electronic and hardcore breaks, all over the place but still sounds extremely tight and connected, top 3 this year
