Love the OVO stans in the comments disguising their anticipation as hate

interesting
dont if it reads more like "ok" we still not moved or a "fine nigga damn"
Exactly
I also think that the respective albums played a part in it as well.
Morale was divisive, some people love it a lot and some people strongly dislike it. But regardless, it had bite and it was memorable. People still reference it 3 years later.
2000 was a sequel to the classic mixtape 1999, but it lacked the bite and cutting edge energy that 1999 had. It played it VERY safe. No one really disliked it but no one really talks about it much either. The Forever Story by JID gets referenced way more for example.
2000 pissed me off, honestly. That was NOT sequel material, like not even a little bit
These mfs are STILL mad a whole year later LMAO
They the MAGA of hip-hop
You mention the "bodyguards like Whitney" s*** from Push Ups, and they'll go "It was CLEARLY just a reference to the Whitney Houston movie that got blown out of proportion, nothing else"

it literally was tho. hov level subliminal. If the shoes didnt fit it wouldnt have stuck

blow my replies up immediately. Seems like yall the ones who’s still a little sensitive
Kendrick aint lie in the drake beef !!!
That’s objectively wrong

It wasn't an absolutely terrible album. It had a few really good songs like Zipcodes, Show Me (I'm a sucker for indie samples in hip-hop and I also really like Men I Trust) and Survivors Guilt.
But overall, it was a 6/10 and going "oh...thats it??".
You expect more because Joey really was one of the toughest young rappers at his peak. But age mellowed him out and took some of the wind out of him.

It was not a subliminal. It was a double entendre implicating some TEA that clearly took it from"competitive hip-hop" to making it personal. HE started all of that. Which is why I feel no remorse for how publicly embarrassed he got.
It's his fault for entertaining them. Ray is young & hungry. Of course he's going to try to get a bigger artist's attention. Joey should have learned from Kendrick to not respond to people lower on the food chain.
Definitely a valid point, Joey probably doesn’t even care, he just was itching to battle somebody
a few fans from both sides dont realize how they’re acting the same itt

again if kendrick took it personal that was his own fault because the bodyguard is a movie starring whitney houston

You just cropped a DJ Hed tweet as some sort of gotcha and posted it itt, clearly you felt a way
He needs to do a Burden of Proof type of album like Benny
