Nah after awhile you get sick of it lmao ESPECIALLY with how Frank goes with it.
Like I won't stop an artist from doing what they wanna do, but I ain't interested in it, and I'm not about to let these niggas play about s*** that I ordered. Gave you my money stop f***in around with what I ordered.
I mean as in mystique being why the general audience acts like it’s blasphemy mentioning Miguel with Frank and Abel because both built followings off that. Preferring them is fine but when people are dismissive of Miguel with his skills and resume that’s when I’m like
Really?
Hmm. I thought people who grew up around Church / Sunday Service and/or Gospel music would naturally gravitate towards PJ and BJ.
And maybe I was incorrect in grouping Miguel with them.
I didn’t grow up around that and I enjoy all of the artists you mentioned. I just love the genre of R&B and studying the bests vocalists in that category.
I definitely think it’s a “casual vs avid consumer of music” question because you really have to be looking to find some of these artists (unfortunately)
If anyone in this thread hasn't heard Kyle Dion, you should check him out. One of those hidden R&B gems.
Underrated af
dk if it's his management or record label or just his lack of vision or something but I wish this guy had a team like XO to help him out with his promo

It’s 100% a label thing
Miguel should be Bruno Mars status or more
But instead, he’s treated like a C-level artist unfortunately

Bruno mars?! nah
I think he would've been great on a label like Aftermath, he's a west coaster and he'd fit well along the likes of Anderson .paak or something
Hell I don't even think it's an RCA problem because they signed SZA (or is she TDE?), it's his management that's ass
