My favorite hip hop album of all time & in my top 5 albums ever, personally. Absolutely changed my life.

I did want to share the OG version of the songs if no one has heard it yet, very intriguing listen

Take Care, MBDTF, Illmatic, RD, Aquemini, Low End Theory, Marshall Mathers LP, and GRDT all better

the jump from ready to die to life after death is the same as the jump from TML to Take Care. damn near sound like a whole different artist

Illmatic suffers from that repetitive late 80s early 90s early rap production 1-2 bar loop, ready to die so ahead of it’s time with the song structure they basically came out at the same time

Illmatic way better writing and more important topics ready to die the better album though overall kinda

RTD also has way more captivating vocal performance and Biggies presence was unmatched

I feel like this an insult to Ready to Die lmao.
Ready To Die has a lot of Biggie’s best tracks

Life After Death would’ve been amazing without 4-5 mid songs that ruin it

  • Pac and BIG have become kind of popular to hate on or discredit as just “old head group think” “safe hip hop opinions” etc…

But there is a reason they are considered the GOATs to this day. 2 albums by BIG hold more classic material than 15+ years of 90s, 00s and current day rappers. His flow is unmatched to this day and likely never to be replicated.

Pac the goat delivery, goat writer, goat conscious rapper, amazing hook maker. 3 straight all time GOAT candidate albums and arguably the best diss record ever.

All in 2-6 years. These cats were Jordan in his prime
