He said private insurance would only cover non essential (voluntary) procedures which is essentially Bernie’s plan
You’d only need private supplemental insurance for plastic surgery, gastric bypass, and other elective procedures
my bad thought he was arguing for medicare for all who want it
Medicare for All! Because why the f*** not Medicare for All?! Must need in US for exemple, this pandemic exposed it
Poll from the exact same people as the poll in OP
You ever realize maybe its because of how it gets framed? Also lmao at linking yglesias
Poll from the exact same people as the poll in OP
Correct me if I’m wrong but my understanding is that when it’s framed as “abolishing private insurance” it doesn’t poll as well but when it’s more accurately presented as only outlawing duplicative care it polls far better
Also the poll in OP literally doesn't ask about the specific policy plan "Medicare for All". The question they asked participants was, "HHX2: Would you support or oppose providing Medicare to every American?"
So you take the results saying only 1 in 10 want to abolish private insurance and 7 in 10 wanting Medicare available to every American and you meet in the middle on something like a public option

How do you feel bout it tho?

Liberal brain disease

Another misleading headline. The poll question was
"Do you support or oppose employers being allowed to change or eliminate an employee's health insurance against the employee's wishes?"
You can legislate against that and still keep employer insurance

No, you can't lmao
The issue is moreso how a huge subset of the american population is disadvantaged and therefore get very poor medical care. I would argue a lot of Americans enjoy comparable if not even better health care than most of Europe, its just the poor that hurt the average quality of health care and I don't think m4a would fix that

You don’t see how it would help the disadvantaged

we would have a far worse health care than europe would still. It would help the disadvantaged by severely bringing down the quality of health care for anyone that is employed

How would it “severely” lower the quality of care for those who are employed? It would seem a majority of Americans would benefit from actually being insured and able to seek medical attention rather than avoid it. as well as be able to get preventive care.

typing a whole bunch of words without saying s*** lmao

To ask for a M4A would require huge taxes on corporations and those that are employed, thereby severely hurting those health care package benefits
And we have seen how s*** government funded hospitals are in so many areas, M4A would just be more of that
